The Region of Peel is seeking a results-driven public health leader to join our team as a Supervisor Immunization Services & Communicable Disease Contact Centre (IS/CDCC). In this role you will lead a team of Public Health Nurses overseeing the delivery of accurate timely and responsive health education and inquiry support to residents healthcare providers and community partners.
You will manage the daily operations of a high-volume call centre leveraging tools like Salesforce (ENDS) and Five9 while ensuring compliance with public health legislation and service excellence across programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning delivery and evaluation of Public Health programs related to communicable diseases and immunizations.
Supervise and support a team of Public Health Nurses in a fast-paced call centre environment.
Ensure program compliance with all relevant legislation (e.g. PHIPA ISPA CCEYA) and public health standards.
Develop and manage program budgets and resource allocation to meet service goals.
Maintain internal and external communications with partners such as schools physicians and community organizations.
Use data and performance indicators to drive quality improvement and service optimization.
Contribute to divisional strategic planning and present key initiatives to leadership and stakeholders.
What The Role Requires:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (required)
At least three years of experience in Public Health
Strong understanding of Ontario Public Health Standards population health principles and relevant legislation
Experience leading and motivating teams with strong coaching and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to manage complex service delivery in a high-volume environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with public health tools and databases (e.g. Panorama Salesforce (ENDS) and Five9)
Nice To Have:
Additional education in Public Health Epidemiology or related field
Previous leadership experience in Public Health or healthcare services
