Position Summary:
The Lead Building Engineer has overall responsibility for all aspects of facility management services and/or operations. The Lead Engineer is ABMs primary point of contact for day-to-day operations. They will create an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the facility management environment. This role will drive continual improvements to the operation by creating an expectation of learning and development of their team members.
Responsibilities- Preventative & Proactive Maintenance: Execute scheduled inspections and PMs on allfacility equipment and utility systems (RTUs AHUs pumps motors etc.) to maximize assetlifespan and eliminate unplanned downtime.
- Rapid Diagnosis & Repair: Act as the first responder to system failures. Swiftly and
accurately troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical plumbing and HVAC issuesrestoring full functionality with urgency and precision. - Building Systems Management: Monitoring operating and adjusting environmental
systems (HVAC lighting) using the Building Automation System (BAS) to ensure peakenergy efficiency and optimal occupant comfort. - Safety & Regulatory Compliance (GXP/Pharma Focus): Use appropriate PPE equipment forexecute maintenance works follow Job Hazzard Analysis strictly adhering to all companypolicies regulatory standards (e.g. Lockout/Tagout OSHA GXP) and performing criticalPMs on safety equipment (fire extinguishers eyewash stations safety showers).
- Detailed Documentation: Conduct essential daily facility rounds. Utilize the ComputerizedMaintenance Management System (CMMS) to document all work orders (WOs).
- Vendor Coordination: Act as the technical point of contact effectively escorting andoverseeing third-party contractors to ensure work is completed to our required standards.
- Other assigns as needed
Qualifications- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the implementation of the above.
- Central Plant Operations and Controls experience is a must minimum of 5 years.
