We are seeking a hands-on POS Hardware Support Engineer to support testing diagnostics repairs refurbishment and quality assurance across Volcoras hardware products. This role works closely with fulfillment support sales and product teams to ensure high hardware quality efficient issue resolution and continuous product improvement.
Tasks
Hardware Testing Repair & Refurbishment (50%)
- Perform testing and diagnostics on POS terminals printers and peripherals
- Repair refurbish and re-test returned units to meet resale or redeployment standards
- Identify root causes of hardware failures and recurring issues
Quality Assurance & Fulfillment Support
- Work with the fulfillment team to perform QA spot checks on inbound shipments and outbound orders
- Verify configurations accessories and packaging accuracy prior to shipment
RMA & Asset Management
- Manage return units (RMA) to ensure they are properly categorized tracked tested and documented
- Maintain clear records of repair status test results and refurbishment outcomes
Technical Support & Cross-Team Assistance
- Assist L1 technical support with hardware-related troubleshooting and escalations
- Support ad-hoc technical requests from internal teams
- Assist the sales team with technical pre-sales questions and customer calls when needed
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Write and maintain technical documentation repair guides and internal SOPs
- Provide technical feedback to help improve Volcora products from a reliability and serviceability perspective
On-Site Support (As Needed)
- Perform on-site repairs replacements or deliveries when required
Requirements
- 24 years of experience in hardware repair POS systems IT support or similar roles
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing POS terminals printers and peripherals
- Strong understanding of PC hardware peripherals and basic networking
- Experience with Windows and/or Android-based systems
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Nice to Have
- Experience with retail or hospitality POS environments
- Familiarity with RMA and refurbishment workflows
- Basic board-level troubleshooting or soldering experience
- Customer-facing or field service experience
- Mandarin Speaking is a plus
