Job Summary

Position: Senior Systems Engineer (Storage & Infrastructure)

Location: Alpharetta GA (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Duration: 12 Months contract

Overview

We are hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to support a leading financial clients server and storage infrastructure. This role focuses on NetApp storage cloud/on-prem environments system optimization and security hardening.

Ideal candidates are hands-on engineers with strong experience in storage administration automation and enterprise infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

Administer configure and optimize enterprise storage environments (NetApp SAN/NAS)

Perform performance tuning capacity planning and system upgrades

Support on-prem and cloud-based storage (AWS EC2)

Lead file server migrations and infrastructure modernization efforts

Implement security hardening and data encryption (data-at-rest)

Enhance monitoring metrics and system performance

Automate operational tasks using PowerShell and/or Ansible

Collaborate with infrastructure teams to resolve server storage and application issues

Must-Have Skills

7 years of experience in enterprise systems engineering

5 years of hands-on experience with NetApp storage (SAN/NAS)

Strong experience with Linux VMware and AWS (EC2)

Expertise in storage administration performance tuning and migrations

Experience with data encryption and security best practices

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

Automation using PowerShell and/or Ansible

Experience with disaster recovery application sizing and infrastructure design

Strong understanding of monitoring and system optimization tools

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment

Experience working in regulated environments (financial domain preferred)
