Field Service Welder (TIG) - Submarines

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Welderwithin the IMRS (Inspection Maintenance and Repair Services) Welding Team in Derby. IMRS forms part of the Services Delivery Business Unit within Submarines. As the Field Service Welder you will join our busy welding team. The Welding team is responsible for developing and deploying tailored welding solutions to support the in-service maintenance of the UK submarine fleet as well as support to submarine design and build programmes.
As the Welding Technician you will be based from our site in Derby and will be deployed to sites across the UK so shift work will be expected however this is rewarded with overtime payments and enhanced shift premiums. This role would suit a Welder with experience of Manual TIG Welding Stainless Steel.

What youll be doing:
As the Welder as part of the Welding Team you will be development of welding techniques & technology to optimise weld parameters and achieve plant weld quality;
