Job Summary

Description

AS NUCLEAR QUALITY TECHNICIAN YOU WILL:

  • Perform inspection and audit activities on parts and assemblies using appropriate tools gauges and testing equipment.
  • Interpret work instructions and documentation such as shop orders purchase orders drawings and quality records to determine inspection requirements.
  • Support manufacturing operations across multiple processing areas (e.g. Receiving Stores Inspection Nuclear SafetyRelated activities).
  • Work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to identify troubleshoot and resolve product or process issues.
  • Follow established Quality Assurance procedures plant policies and safety rules.
  • Maintain adequate inspection coverage to prevent delays in product flow and meet daily production goals.
  • Operate material handling equipment and perform inventory transactions for material storage tracking and movement.
  • Participate in team initiatives focused on safety quality throughput cost improvement Lean manufacturing and training.
  • Demonstrate strong multitasking skills and adaptability in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs or as supervisory personnel direct.
  • Producing products in accordance with Fisher Quality Standards and to strive for continuous improvement in operating as a profitable effective safety-conscious business to satisfy customers.
  • Must display natural or corrected vision of 20/22 with both eyes and normal color perception. Must be capable of reading a minimum of Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches on a standard Jaeger test chart.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Understand and relate proper measurement techniques and sequences as well as working knowledge of reading and interpretation of Geometrically Dimensioned Drawings (GD&T).
  • Proficient in the use of material and dimensional testing equipment.
  • Experience performing non-destructive examination methods.
  • Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word Excel Access and PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Producing products in accordance with Fisher Quality Standards and to strive for continuous improvement in operating as a profitable effective safety-conscious business to satisfy customers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Must display natural or corrected vision of 20/22 with both eyes and normal color perception. Must be capable of reading a minimum of Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches on a standard Jaeger test chart.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
