Job Summary

Head Coach Mens Soccer
Terms of Employment: Part-Time hours vary and may include evening and weekend hours as determined by the college.
Classification: Leadership Contracted Limited Term.
Compensation: $9420 per year. Salary is for the 2025-26 fiscal year prorated based on hire date.
FLSA Status: Exempt.

Apply online through the Apply link listed below or at Summary: Responsible for the administration and development of Mens Soccer team including student recruitment budget management MCCAA and NJCAA competition fund-raising and promotional visibility of the college.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare team for competition to include practices game preparation and recruitment of student athletes.
  • Responsible for budgetary oversight through Director of Athletics to comply with Business Office requirements for documentation and control as well as sound accounting practices.
  • Represent SC4 in a professional/positive manner on campus in community and at College events and team competitions.
  • Work in a professional manner with all other members of the MCCAA and NJCAA.
  • Ensure all student athletes understand follow and uphold the institutions Student Athlete Code of Conduct promoting a culture of accountability integrity and respectful behavior on and off the field.
  • Must have knowledge of and maintain compliance with NJCAA by-laws and eligibility rules.
  • Act as promotional agent for the team to get local state and national recognition.
  • Work with Director of Athletics to track academic progress and retention of student athletes.
  • Schedule games and practice facilities through cooperation with other sport coaches and Director of Athletics.
  • Provide end of season report to include statistics and awards through NJCAA and MCCAA websites.
  • Coordinate and direct athletic camps. Includes but not limited to coordination of camp compliance with Michigans Sports Concussion Law oversight of game workers and or volunteers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received: Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics.
Supervision Given: Provides general supervision to the assistant coaches.
Job Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in a related field and/or extensive successful coaching experience at high school varsity level or higher required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Applicant must have experience with budget oversight student activities and a willingness to work with students in a service capacity.
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication and motivational skills and be able to work as a team member with the College community to include students staff faculty administration and other athletic teams on campus.
