The Lead Faculty Certification Coordinator within the Surgical Technology Program works with students upon successful completion of the specific program milestones. This role is responsible for developing individual remediation and study plans that focus on progression and overall certification examination readiness. The Lead Faculty Certification & Licensure Coordinator makes recommendations to the Program Chair for the determination of student readiness for certification and licensure examinations. Also this role is credentialed and approved as faculty for the appointed program of study and is expected to complete teaching assignments within the scope of the University faculty workload policy. The Lead Faculty Certification & Licensure Coordinator may supervise coaches that are assigned to assisting student readiness.
REQUIREMENTS:
- âBachelors Degree in a related discipline Masters degree preferred
- Be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency
- Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCAA)
- Have at least 2 years of experience in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology (or a combination of both) within the past 5 years.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills necessary to maintain positive professional interactions with students alumni faculty and employer partners.
Preferred:
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively to individuals and groups.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrates knowledge of programmatic accreditation and regulatory standards established by CAAHEP for Surgical Technology programs.
COMPENSATIONis determined based on the qualifications experience and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program health insurance paid time off and a retirement savings plan. The salary range for this position is $62229 to $84193.
