Overview
Reporting to the Director of Communications&Public Affairs theDigitalCommunications Manager isacritical member of the communications team and the overall organization.Youllcreate compellingcontentthatpositions the organization as a champion of economic securityandleveragevarious digital channels to increase organizational visibility.Youllbe our brand stewardandmanageour digitalplatformsincludingemail social media and the website.Youllbe responsible forjuggling multiple detailed projects while responding in real-time to breaking news and current affairs.
TheDigitalCommunicationsManagerwillprovide support in the following areas:
Primary Responsibilities
Strategy&Multi-Channel Management
- Manageand growFPWAs digital and social media presence includingonFacebook Twitter/XLinkedInand Instagram accounts and measure and track their success
- Drive email strategy and coordination including addingretaining and segmenting subscribers
- Manageupdates and improvements to FPWAs website viaWordPressdeliveringcontent that is fresh easilydigestibleand relevant to FPWAs audiences.
- Liaiseacross departments on internal communications as needed
Content Creation & Branding
- Write designandleveragecompelling content across all digital platformstomaximize FPWAs reach with key audiences
- Work closely with theDirector of Communications & Public Affairstomaintainbrand and message consistency across digital media initiatives
- Design and updateone-pagers campaign materialsgeneral and program brochures media kits fact sheets and other collateral material.
- Producetimelygraphics and video content that leverages FPWA initiatives and is responsive tobreaking news local politics and community affairs and national and regional policy and trends.
Campaigns & Advocacy
- Developon-branddigital advertising campaigns across multiple platforms
- Support FPWA digital event execution live coverageand post-production of eventsand webinars
- Design and execute seamless fundraisingadvocacyand programmatic campaigns across all digital channels in collaboration with key staff
Analytics & Reporting
- Expertisewith measurement tools (Google Analytics etc.) to track analytics across all channelsin order toenhance campaigns and measure progress toward list growth and engagement
- Translate web and social media analytics into easy-to-understandinsightfuland actionable reports to present to stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BA degree injournalismmarketing public/media relations communications or related field and at leastthree to five yearsofexperience in digital communications including onlinecontent developmentvideo editingemailmarketing brandingsocialmediaand web analytics
- Highlyskilled in graphic and video content creation with knowledge of Canva Adobe Creative Cloud or similar tools
- Commitment to achieving systemic change that will break through the barriers tosuccess for all New Yorkers.
- Comfortable in ahigh paced collaborative environment. Highly organized with keenattention to detail.
- Excellent verbal written & presentation skills.
- Project management experience including working with stakeholders across teams to assess needs recommend strategies setgoalsandestablishandmeetdeadlines
- Demonstrated success in attracting and engaging new audiences across various platforms and channel
- Strong experience with email marketing systems (i.e.Mailchimp Constant Contact etc.) for setting up campaigns and strategic messaging
- Digital Savvy knowledge of CMS like WordPress Google Analytics Microsoft SuiteBasic HTML/CSS coding and troubleshooting experience
- Demonstrated record of developing rapid response advocacy campaigns in partnership with policy and advocacy content experts
- Experience in developingvarious typesof content across digital platforms
- Experience managing a brands social media presence across multiple platforms including Facebook Twitter LinkedIn and Instagram
- Strong writing and editing skills; ability to produce original clear concise error-free digital content within tight deadlines; attention to detail
- Self-starter with ability tooperateat a hands-on detailed level take the lead on complicated projects andanticipatestrategies through to the end
- Experience with and interest in inclusiveequitablecommunications that increase the diversity of our audiences
SALARY & BENEFITS
- Salary range:$72500minimum to $85000maximumcommensuratewith experience.
