Description
The Youth Empowerment Project is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our Administrative team in New Orleans. This full-time on-site position provides an exciting opportunity to lead HR initiatives that foster a positive and empowering environment within the non-profit sector.
As the Director of Human Resources you will play a crucial role in shaping our organizational culture implementing effective HR strategies and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. You will be instrumental in developing programs that enhance employee engagement and support our mission of empowering youth in our community.
We offer a competitive salary range of $5000 - $10000 annually along with comprehensive benefits and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of young people through our programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organizations goals
- Oversee recruitment onboarding and talent management processes
- Manage employee relations and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations
- Design and implement training and development programs
- Evaluate and enhance employee benefits and compensation packages
- Conduct performance management processes
- Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field
- 5 years of experience in a senior HR role preferably in the non-profit sector
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in HR software and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
