Job Description:

The Architectural Intern will perform technical and administrative work in support of Paces Design & Construction Department for the implementation of capital construction projects. Essential Functions include:

  1. Participating in field observations of construction projects and preparing daily field reports.
  2. Assisting in the review of Contractor shop drawing submittals Requests for Information (RFIs) Change Order Proposals (COPs) and Pay Applications.
  3. Assisting in the review of plans specifications and other technical documents prepared by Paces Architectural and Engineering consultants.
  4. Assisting in the preparation of sketches and concept plans for Pace facilities.
  5. Assisting in the preparation and review of construction cost estimates.
  6. Performing other duties as assigned.

Internship Duration:

Monday June 1 2026 Friday August 14 2026

Hours Per Week:

Up to 37.5 Hours Per Week

Rate of Pay:

$21/hr

Working Conditions:

This position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. However the business needs of Pace may result in work schedules outside the typical hours/workdays.

This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote telecommuting.

Qualifications

Age:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Certifications:

Must possess a valid Drivers License with a good driving record history.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university and working towards a degree in Architecture Design Construction Management or other related field.

Proficiencies:

Must demonstrate working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods of time frequently stand and/or walk within an office environment lift and carry up to 25lbs use a keyboard and type for prolonged periods.
