This is a temporary position.

The U.S./CanadaAsset Management and Owner & Franchisee Relations teamis responsible forsupporting Marriotts open ownedmanagedand franchised lodging properties in the United States and Canada. The teampartnerswith various Marriott corporate departments and disciplinestohelp Marriott achieve its business objectives by negotiating drafting interpretingandenforcingcontracts with owners buyers sellers and lenders foropenhotel properties in the United States and Canada fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes strategic alignment and effective stakeholder departments critical database information on high volume contractual matters for hotels in the United States and Canadawhileleveragingtechnology to streamlineprocessesandtracks various asset management and operational matters as they arise. The position will also coordinate document processing and filing across the practice area andassistin project or department specific initiatives.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

  • Four-year bachelors degree

OR

  • Two-year college degreeANDTwo years work experience

Preferred

  • Extended experience in the Office Suitedocument management software and databases and Adobe products.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Coordinate contract development and execution partnering with the attorneys and paralegals on the team throughout all phases of transactions; from reviewing and inputtingnecessary informationto generateaccuratecontracts and reports to coordinating the execution of documents.
  • Responsible for accuracy and maintenance of the practice areas contractand legalmanagementdatabases shared drives and database reporting.
  • Provide support to the attorneys and other members of the group in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Identifygaps and areas of opportunity toleveragetechnology and implement solutions to improve efficiency of the teams administrative processes to better respond to business needs.
  • Manage the teamsintakemailboxes and other communications and make corresponding updates to contractssystems anddatabases.
  • Direct and cycle through a high volume of legal documents and correspondencein a timely manner. Provide excellent word processing and formatting support.
  • Assistin the administration of Restricted Person review and compliance on behalf ofLawDepartment.
  • Generate and manage up-to-date workingand permanent filesmonitorand make entries in RIMS and track transmittals to the Records Managementteam.
  • Assistwith or take lead role in special projects and/or overflow assignments for theU.S./CanadaAsset Management and Owner & Franchisee Relations team.
