Job Summary

All Summer Institute (SI) programs operate from June 29 to August 7 2026. The hours are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. All staff must attend a mandatory training day Saturday June 6 2026. The SI Site locations are:

  • Ellen Fairclough PS (Markham)
  • Jersey PS (Keswick)
  • Maple LeafPS(Newmarket)
  • Oscar Peterson P.S. (Stouffville)
  • Regency Acres (Aurora)
  • Sixteenth Avenue PS (Richmond Hill)
  • Teston Village PS (Maple)
  • Wilclay PS (Markham)
  • Woodbridge PS (Woodbridge)

Age: 14 to 17 years old (and returning to Secondary School in September 2026)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To support the delivery of Summer Institute programs under the direction of the Summer Institute Principal and Summer Institute Program Leaders
  • To assist with the supervision of all participants during program hours
  • To demonstrate positive leadership qualities
  • To actively participate in the daily operation of the Summer Institute and special activities associated with it
  • To contribute to the staff team environment
  • To attend a mandatory Summer Institute training day in June
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Information:
