Job Summary

Were seeking someone to join our team as a Business Manager in the Tech Finance Business Management (TFBM) organization to be responsible for the operations of technology including financial oversight developing business strategy communications and coordination as well as performance management reporting/dashboards.

In the Finance division we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management review analysis and advisory services of the Firms financial and capital resources. This is an Associate level position within the Business Management Job Family which performs business management/CAO functions including headcount management financials people processes executive communications strategic support divisional governance regulatory support etc. Includes regional location and department management and oversight.

This role will handle planning modeling governance process improvement and analysis to support key business practices and decision making. This includes understanding problems and business goals data to design creative addition the role requires identifying potential issues working to improve tools reports and processes and communicating status to stakeholders. Analytical prowess will be an important part of this role i.e. the ability to understand complex problems identify options and solutions.

What youll do in the role:

  • Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm

  • Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area tools and/or products

  • Adhere to the Firms risk and regulatory standards policies and controls

  • Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firms values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards

  • Understand the total Technology manpower and infrastructure bill.

  • Perform annual infrastructure product benchmarking. Analyze infrastructure product rate on a monthly basis.

  • Ensure full recovery of Technology costs by liaising with Technology Business Managers and firmwide allocation team to set up proper allocation sets in firmwide allocation tool

  • Provide transparency into the Technology bill for Shared Tech organizations to explain cost movements and impact of priority investments:

  • Liaise with infrastructure product managers business managers and finance controllers for product changes. Model financial impact by business segments and applications.

  • Present result to Tech senior management.

  • Provide support in ad hoc requests from IT system owners on application total cost of ownership

  • Understand infrastructure inventory process logic scope and source of info. Perform regular hygiene exercise to ensure Tech allocation is clean and fair

What youll bring to the role:

  • Working knowledge of Finance functional area industry and competitive environment

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and adapt to various audiences

  • Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peers

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills expert with Powerpoint Excel and large data sets

  • Adept at creating management presentations

  • Execution & deliverable focused- Willingness to take ownership and accountability to execute and deliver on goals; strong commitment to high quality standards

  • Excellent time management skills ability to efficiently prioritize and multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines and team objectives

  • Proven ability to influence and challenge status-quo

  • At least 2 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
