PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Child Nutrition Bookkeeper is responsible for accounting procedures and financial documents as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED
Three years experience in bookkeeping procedures and payment authorizations Competent in
mathematics
Computer knowledge
Capable of working well with others Cooperative and Dependable Experience with Personal Computers
College hours in accounting or related field preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Prepares financial documents as directed.
Prepare purchase orders and payment authorizations.
Process purchase orders.
Balances vendor statements as needed.
Order equipment parts.
Familiar with Region I system
Order and distribute employee uniforms
Prepare billing for snacks meals etc.
Maintain file of paid bills
Assist with opening and distributing mail.
Track open purchase orders to ensure amounts not exceeded.
Ensure all invoices are turned in by Managers and Technicians.
Reconcile all invoices to orders and bids.
Keep track of office supplies and order as needed.
Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
