DescriptionThe role:
As a Loss Prevention Team Leader you will play a vital role in protecting our people customers and assets. This is an opportunity to lead a centre of excellence where you will develop your team to the highest standards and ensure we never stand still in our approach to security. Youll take ownership of day-to-day operations using your expertise to mentor colleagues and collaborate with store management to make a real impact on our business growth.
What youll take on:
- Lead and develop the store Loss Prevention Officer team acting as a mentor to ensure everyone is at their best.
- Support the recruitment and induction of new LPOs conducting telephone interviews and ensuring new starters are fully trained on their roles.
- Manage the store LPO rota including holiday and sickness cover while maintaining clear and honest communication with the management team.
- Ensure all security procedures and policies are followed keeping the safety of our customers and staff at the heart of everything you do
- Build strong relationships with local police and crime reduction partnerships sharing intelligence through our internal channels to help the business evolve.
- Performance Tracking: Carry out regular reviews for new starters and assist with LPO audit visits to maintain our high standards.
What youll bring:
- You are self-motivated show great initiative and are comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Have clear and effective communication skills excelling in tact and diplomacy when speaking with colleagues or external partners.
- You take responsibility for doing the right thing and remain truthful with yourself and others.
- Willing to travel to other stores within the region and work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
- At least 12 months of previous experience in Security or Loss Prevention.
- The ability to interpret and understand company stock loss data to help the business grow.
- A good level of literacy and numeracy with the ability to follow written instructions and work with figures accurately.
