Position type: Non-ExemptMi-Tech Tungsten Metals is hiring a Production Manager. The Production Manager oversees daily production operations to ensure schedules are met cost variance is minimized and utilization targets are achieved. This role is responsible for directing production activities maintaining safety and quality standards optimizing resources ensuring timely delivery of products and maintaining the work environment. The Production Manager also partners with team members across operations to support continuous improvement and sustain efficient and reliable production performance.
Directly contribute to the development and formulation of long and short-range planning policies programs and objectives which support the companys competitive position and operational performance.
Create strategies and capacity plans that ensure production schedules are achievable and production output meets expectations.
Plan develop organize and implement systems and resources needed to meet production demand efficiently and on time.
Direct programs essential to production operations including training execution of safety and security programs housekeeping (5S) cost reduction and worker engagement.
Execute the production plan and establish procedures to maintain high standards of operations that ensure products conform to customer and company quality standards.
Track analyze and drive performance through KPIs including schedule adherence utilization throughput and cost variance.
Identify recommend and implement changes to improve productivity throughput and cost performance. Monitor scrap rework downtime and other key loss categories.
Direct and monitor department supervisors to achieve goals aligned with the production plan production schedule safety standards and utilization targets. Act as liaison between supervisory teams production employees and leadership to ensure clear communication of decisions policies and expectations.
Achieve optimum staffing levels with the least amount of overhead and raw material usage.
Hire train develop and evaluate staff.
5 years experience in manufacturing management preferably in a process-oriented operations and/or related industry
Computer proficient with Microsoft Office
Experience working with manufacturing-based technology processes and principles i
BA/BS in industrial mechanical or business administration or a 4-year technical degree in related discipline
Experience with Lean manufacturing principles including 5S and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with ERP or production reporting systems is preferred.
