MHM Solutions a Centurion company is proud to be the provider of comprehensive health services and staffing solutions to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.We are currently seeking a full time Clinical Directorto join our team at the Office of Developmental Programslocated in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.

The Clinical Lead for the Therapeutic Recovery Team will support the State Centers in the following responsibilities:
Act as a resource and provide TA to State Centers related to ID/DD and Co-occurring MH/Behavioral Phenotypes behavior as requested-whether called with questions or requested for specific TA. Advise on cases according to BSOF policy and best practices work.
Participate in transition planning for individuals moving to the community.
Provide case specific consultation / or technical assistance on functional behavior assessment (FBA) and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) for the State Centers.
o Supervise the follow-up on cases with State Center staff as assigned.
o Monitor the efficacy of the supports for these participants plans as needed.
o Review these consults with the BSOF Clinical Team.
Act as a resource and provide TA to State Centers related to ID/DD and Co-occurring MH/Behavioral Phenotypes/Problematic Sexual behavior as requested-whether called with questions or requested for specific TA. Advise on cases according to BSOF policy and best practices work.
Participate in transition planning for individuals moving to the community.
Review behavioral incidents monthly (due by the 15th of each month). Utilizing HCSIS and 24 hr reports identify individuals who may be at risk and review their ISP MHSAs previous incidents etc. Of this review create a monthly report to be shared with DD lead for the State Centers.
Weekly participation in diversion calls.
Complete reviews/consultations as needed when a person living in a State Center is experiencing crises leading to restraints.
Maintain current knowledge of resources across the state to connect State Center staff with appropriate resources as needed.
Work with Risk Management and Quality Management as needed and develop strategies with risk management to mitigate risk associated with DD.
Act as SME on DD and provide information to BSOF and the State Centers as needed/requested. Activities as identified/requested by RPM

Traveling position between state centers state offices and other necessary locations based on need traveling at least 3 days a week
Ability to provide some telework opportunities
Home office will be considered either Harrisburg Ebensburg Center or Selinsgrove Center based on closest location to them. Travel to this location will not be compensated however mileage will be compensated for travel outside of this location minus the commute to this location. Hotel and meals approved if in overnight capacity and approval granted through state process
Design/provide training as needed per TA or as requested by various groups. All curricula should be submitted for DHS approval.
Maintain contact with various MH resources. Maintain contact list and interact as needed.
Remain up to date on all applicable research and maintain files for sharing as needed related to best practices.
Inform policy as requested based on best practices and trends.
Maintain regular contact and support to the State Centers in order to understand current struggles/needs and provide support as needed.
Participate in ISPs as needed in for people whose teams are struggling.
Assist State Centers in developing capacity/training/support strategies related to DD.
Assist Risk Management/Quality Management in efforts toward restraint reduction/elimination
Function as member of implementation team for PBS and ongoing champion/subject matter expert for PBS roll out.
Participates in Positive Mental Health monthly meetings.
Lead/organize provide guidance and training to TRT.
Various tasks as assigned.
Travel to locations throughout the Commonwealth to provide consultation training attend meetings.



Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Human Services (psychology nursing social work or a related field) and six (6) years clinical experience in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) with comorbid mental illness (MI) challenging behavior and problematic sexual behavior.
  • Ability to orally communicate effectively in English in all levels of group and individual contacts/setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing using the English language including computer based communication using e-mail word processing and data based systems.
  • Knowledge of Positive Practices/Approaches and the Recovery Model frameworks in Pennsylvania.
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders and facilitating collaborative practices/supports for persons with dual diagnosis (ID/MI) (Provider Administrative Entity Health Care Quality Unit (HCQU) etc.).
  • Experience in analyzing quality/risk management data to identify opportunities/strategies for system improvement.
  • Knowledge/experience in Mental Health treatments.
  • Have an understanding of and experience in implementation of the basic tenets of PBS.
  • Intermediate computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office software and web based applications.

Available shift: full time days 37.5 hours/week
