The Job

• Deliver originalbreakingandhigh-impacttechnology journalism across all ABC platforms.
• Research write compile and present stories of significant complexity forall digital platforms including TV and radio.
• Generate and investigate story ideas with independenceinitiativeand a strong national focus.
• Develop andmaintaina highly engaged contact base across the technology sector.
• Provide live reporting Q&As and clear explanations on complex issues.
• Work collaboratively within the Specialist Reporting Team and mentor other journalists.
• Ensure all content meets the highest editorial standards media law requirements and ABC policies.
• Find and tell stories that reflect the diversity of modern Australia includingouter suburbancommunities.

Yourean experienced journalist with a passion for technologyand a proven ability to break significant stories.

• Extensivespecialisttechnologyknowledgedemonstratedthrough a strongtrack recordof breaking stories.
• Outstanding editorial judgement and experience producing complex storiesacross TVradioand all digital platforms.
• Superb digital awareness with a strong grasp of audience behaviour and social trends.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills particularly in live environments.
• A proven ability to build andmaintaina broad network of contacts across Australia.
