Team Leader - Engineering Services

Intertek is searching for aTeam Leader Engineering Servicesto join our Building & Constructionteam in our Coquitlam BCoffice. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the Testing Inspection and Certification (TIC) Industry!

The Team Leader - Engineering Services is responsible for the day-to-day management of one or multiple assigned engineering services team including managing the operational budget and assisting with the development and direction of strategic plans and growth initiatives.

What youll do:

  • Manageanddirectpersonnelintheassignedengineering servicesteamsperforming building product evaluations in support of certification

  • Identify and develop processes to enhance and maximize efficiencies

  • Coordinatewithotherworkinggroups(laboratoriescertificationteametc.)toeffectively reach and exceed targeted goals and manage customers and project expectations

  • Mentoranddevelopstaffbysettingappropriategoalsand objectives

  • MaintainfacilityassetsinaccordancewithIntertekSafetyHealthQualityand Compliance Policies

  • Attendtechnicaltradeorassociationmeetings

  • Serveasatechnicalresourcetoemployeesand clients

  • Interactwithclientsaccreditorsand/orAuthorityHavingJurisdictiontoresolveissues

  • Promotenewbusinessopportunities

  • PerformotherworkasrequiredsuchasProjectreviews.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • Degreeinengineeringand/orbusinessadministration

  • Minimum of five years technical management experience in an engineering environment preferably within a testing certification product development laboratory or engineering/code compliance firm

  • Minimumofthree yearsgeneralmanagementexperienceincludingsupervisionofstaff

  • Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskills

  • Excellentleadershipandteambuildingskills

  • Mustbeself-motivatedandassertive

  • Mustbeabletoworkindependentlyinafast-pacedmulti-taskingenvironment

  • MicrosoftOfficesoftwareexpertise

  • Abilitytotravelasbusinessneedsdictate

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage for this position is $90000 to $110000 per year. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set experience qualifications and other job-related addition to competitive compensation packages Intertek employees are eligible for a variety of benefitsincluding paid time off paid holidays medical dental vision life and disability insuranceRRSP with company match tuition reimbursement and more.
