POSITION: Behavior Specialist
SALARY: $28.36 - 32.84 per hour DOE
REPORTS TO:Dean of students/counselor
LOCATION: Pascal Sherman Indian School Omak WA
Basic Functions: This is a Non-Exempt position.The behavior specialist provides continuous support to the overall educational environment by utilizing positive interactions with students to address student behaviors. To provide ongoing behavior intervention strategies for all students in all aspects of the educational environment but primarily in the In School Suspension (ISS) Program and including but not limited to: student arrival dismissal hallways cafeteria playground and perhaps extracurricular activities including field trips. The Behavioral Specialist will work directly with administrators to provide outlets and avenues for students to communicate with staff in the building serving as a liaison helping to empower students develop leadership skills and build healthy relationships built on trust. The Behavior Specialist will input data from referral forms on our NASIS system while supervising students in the ISS room and other duties as assigned by the Principal.

If required of this position you must possess and maintain avalid Washington State drivers license and be eligible for the Tribes Vehicle addition this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
