Job Summary
Job Description:
A Solar Panel Installation Project Manageroversees the entire project lifecycle from planning and permitting to execution and commissioning ensuring projects meet timelines budgets and quality/safety standards coordinating teams and subcontractors managing vendors handling client communication and ensuring regulatory compliance for residential or large-scale solar installations. Key responsibilities include site assessment design scheduling procurement site supervisionquality control budget management risk mitigation and final system testing/handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Design:Conduct site surveys develop system designs (includingCAD drawings) estimate materials/costs and create project schedules.
- Team & Subcontractor Management:Lead internal teams hire/manage subcontractors and ensure efficient coordination.
- Procurement & Logistics:Coordinate material/equipment delivery manage vendors and handle supply chain issues.
- Site Execution & Supervision:Monitor construction ensure adherence to plans specifications and budgets and provide technical assistance.
- Quality & Safety:Implement QA/QC enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g. electrical environmental).
- Budget & Cost Control:Track project costs manage budgets and identify risks for overruns.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication:Serve as primary contact provide regular progress reports and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Commissioning & Handover:Oversee system testingnet metering hookups and final client handover.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience:Proven experience in solar project management (rooftop/ground-mount) managing teams handling site execution and commissioning.
- Technical Skills:Familiarity with solar design software (e.g. PVSyst AutoCAD SketchUp)solar PV systemselectrical/mechanical systems andnet metering.
- Soft Skills:Strong leadership planning risk management problem-solving communication and negotiation skills.
