Job Scope

HR / Employee Relations / Labor Relations Specialist (Italy)

The HR/ER/LR Specialist plays a key role in fostering and sustaining a constructive social climate with employee representatives (RSU) throughout the year. Acting as a trusted partner to both management and social partners this role contributes directly to the companys social stability compliance and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Employee & Labor Relations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for elected employee representatives and trade unions (RSU).
  • Steer and maintain high-quality transparent and constructive social dialogue.
  • Define and implement communication and negotiation strategies to support change management and ensure alignment with social partners and employees.
  • Advise company leadership on employee relations labor relations and social strategy.

Negotiation & Legal Support

  • Contribute to the preparation and management of collective negotiations grievances and arbitration processes
  • Provide proactive advice to senior management on industrial relations matters upstream of key company projects.
  • Support managers and employees on individual and collective employment law topics including conflict management and litigation-related matters.

Business partnering Compliance & Monitoring

  • Drive understanding adoption and effective use of the HR Operating Model
  • Anticipate social developments and propose solutions aligned with company strategy collective agreements and Italian employment law.
  • Monitor quantitative and qualitative indicators of social climate to anticipate risks and prevent potential crises.
  • Ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures in line with legislative regulatory and case law developments in Italy.
  • Stay abreast of social legal and regulatory trends that may impact the business and recommend appropriate actions.

Profile & Technical Skills

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources Business Administration Labor Relations or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in employee and labor relations.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian labor and employment law.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong negotiation influence and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices labor law compliance and social dialogue frameworks.
