Position Summary

The Technician is responsible for diagnosing repairing and replacing automotive parts and systems while delivering excellent customer service. This role involves direct customer interaction and performing a wide range of repairs including brakes steering and suspension drivability emissions electrical systems HVAC maintenance services and major engine repairs. This position is designated as safety-sensitive.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technicians diagnose and repair vehicles accurately while properly caring for and securing them during service. This role follows a do it right the first time philosophy limiting comebacks to no more than two within a four-week period. Technicians are expected to maintain at least 90% productivity and 100% training completion comply with company policies and safety standards maintain certifications and serve as a technical resource for team members. Strong customer focus integrity and clear communication are essential. Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 6 months experience as a certified technician or mechanic

• Four ASE certifications required:

  • Brakes

  • Steering & Suspension

  • Two additional ASEs (A1 A6 A7 A8 or L1)

• Additional ASEs encouraged; ASE-equivalent certifications may be considered

• Required ASEs must be completed within two testing cycles (testing fees prepaid)

• Strong problem-solving technical interpretation and customer service skills

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Ability to work days nights weekends and holidays

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent bending reaching and kneeling. Requires effective communication computer use reading small print and safe vehicle operation. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
