Job Summary
Joan our team as a PRN OT or COTA virtual or school based
We are currently seeking a South Dakota Licensed Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team on a PRN basis to cover a leave of absence. This is an opportunity that could lead to more consistent long-term work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in a school-based or virtual setting
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans (OTR/L)
- Collaborate with teachers parents and other members of the students support team
- Implement interventions to improve students fine motor skills sensory processing visual/motor skills and activities of daily living that pertain to students educational success
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed (OTR/L)
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students educational goals
Qualifications:
- Current license as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of South Dakota
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using technology in the workplace
- Strong organizational skills
