Job Summary
Job Title: Electrical Technician
Location: Southeast Michigan
Job Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate:$18$25 depending on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our production team. This role involves assembling wiring and fabricating electrical components and instrumentation panels for industrial equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented skilled with electrical and mechanical systems and able to read and interpret technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacture quality products according to customer specifications and internal build procedures.
Participate in electrical and related fabrication processes as part of a team.
Analyze work orders and build sequences; interpret specifications shop drawings and construction notes.
Assemble instrument gauge panels electrical conduit/cable trays wiring assemblies wire-pull and terminations.
Join conduit and tubing using compression fittings threading bolting or other mechanical methods.
Ensure completion of inspection records red-lined drawings punch lists and BMS updates prior to quality inspection.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Follow and enforce all established safety policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proficient in advanced shop math.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use trade-related tools and equipment.
Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (micrometers calipers tape measures).
Capable of lifting 2550 pounds and working in a shop environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
