Bodyshop Advisor/Administrator

with Trainee Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) Opportunity

Salary:

Monday to Friday - Wimborne Area

Were looking for an organised computer-literate Bodyshop Advisor/Administrator to join our busy commercial bodyshop offering a genuine opportunity to train and progress into a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) role.

This is a varied office-based position with strong links to the workshop customers and insurersideal for someone with some automotive or trade knowledge whos keen to develop more technical skills over time.

About the Business

We are a commercial bodyshop carrying out:

• Internal repair work
• Private customer repairs
• Insurance work

Youll be working in a fast-paced but supportive environment where quality organisation and communication really matter.

The Role

This role is similar to a Service Advisor position with a strong focus on administration and customer communication.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing customer updates via phone and email
• Handling job administration and documentation
• Liaising closely with the workshop customers and insurers
• Supporting vehicle drop-offs and occasional face-to-face customer interaction
• Assisting with damage assessment and repair processes over time

All pricing and estimates are completed longhand (not Audatex) so attention to detail and a willingness to learn are essential.

Training & Progression Trainee VDA

For the right person this role offers a clear pathway into Vehicle Damage Assessment. Youll gain:

• Hands-on exposure to estimating and repair methods
• On-the-job learning alongside experienced professionals
• Structured development toward a VDA role

What Were Looking For

• Highly organised with strong admin skills
• Confident using computers and systems
• Good communication skills (phone & email essential)
• Some trade or automotive knowledge preferred
• Keen to learn and progress into a VDA role
• Comfortable working with workshops insurers and customers

Hours & Benefits

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am 5:30pm
• 20 days holiday bank holidays long service leave
• Competitive salary depending on experience
