GE Medical Systems Limited is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Biomedical Trainee Engineer to join our team. This entry-level role provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the medical device industry supporting the installation maintenance and repair of advanced medical equipment. The position is fully onsite in London and forms part of a twoyear trainee program with the potential for a permanent role upon successful completion.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with the installation configuration and calibration of a wide range of medical devices.

  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs performing routine inspections and servicing to ensure equipment performance reliability and patient safety.

  • Support the troubleshooting and repair of complex biomedical systems learning diagnostic techniques and the use of specialized tools.

  • Accurately document all service activities including installations maintenance and repairs in line with company procedures and regulatory standards.

  • Comply strictly with all quality safety and healthcare regulations related to medical devices and patient care.

  • Actively engage in ongoing learning through internal training mentorship and self-study to expand technical expertise.

  • Contribute to the management of spare parts and tools inventory ensuring availability and proper record-keeping.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Strong foundational understanding of electronics mechanics and computer systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and complex equipment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications including Microsoft Office.

  • Commitment to patient safety quality standards and ethical practices.

  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

  • Prior internship or project experience in a biomedical or technical environment is an advantage.
