Job Summary
Technical Advisor Vessel Automation
We are looking for a Technical Advisor to support our Automation products.
In this role you will be a part of the Service Delivery Team delivering service support
upgrades and modifications to our customers. Our Technical Advisors are along with Field Service Engineers at the front line when representingKONGSBERGto our worldwide customers. You will be part of our Global Customer Support division which is responsible for Kongsberg Maritimes services upgrades and support in the aftermarket. Our 2300 employees are present in 35 different countries around the world. During the operational lifetime on more than 30.000 installations we ensure cost-efficient delivery of services upgrades and spare parts to secure availability and predictability to our customers.
Vessel Automation & Sensing Solution is a part of Global Customer Support. The main product in this department is providing vessels with state-of-the-art automation and digital systems build on the new modern K-Chief platform. We provide service and support for legacy systems such as DataChief K-Chief and AutoChief tank sounding and LNG systems and is a forerunner in providing ships with tools for optimizing their operations with regards to cost efficiency and emissions.
Key accountabilities
- Provide technical support to customers and KM employees in the global organization
- Proactively work with improvement of our products and services
- Execute training and certification process for global service engineers
- Collaborate closely with Field Service Warranty Team and other departments such as R&D Product aftermarket sales and Project delivery to improve processes and quality
- Following the companys QA and HSE regulations
- Participation in in-house projects
- Some travel for service commissioning and training may be required
Qualifications and experience
- Motivated for solving technical issues and provide customers with the best experience
- Skills within electrical automation or IT disciplines e.g. from certificate of apprenticeship college or University bachelors degree or other relevant education.
- Experience from working with electro IT or automation can be an advantage but not a requirement
- Motivated to gain a deep knowledge of KMs range of marine products systems and applications
- Fluent Norwegian and English language required
