Job Summary
Overview
We are seeking an experienced .NET Technical Lead / Solution Architect to provide technical leadership and architectural oversight across delivery teams within the Kiwibank SAE programme. This role plays a critical part in shaping governing and delivering high-quality banking solutions using a modern product engineering approach.
You will work closely with client stakeholders architects and engineering teams to ensure solutions are scalable secure and aligned with enterprise and cloud-native architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and architectural governance across delivery teams.
Drive delivery excellence ensuring solutions meet quality performance and security standards.
Partner with client stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
Guide teams in designing and building cloud-native microservices-based solutions.
Establish and promote best practices in API design testing CI/CD and observability.
Mentor and motivate engineers fostering a high-performing agile engineering culture.
Support modernisation initiatives including application uplift and cloud migration.
Core Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with C# Core.
Proven experience designing and building REST APIs using a contract-first approach (OpenAPI / Swagger).
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience implementing application observability including logging monitoring and metrics.
Cloud experience in Azure or AWS with strong CI/CD practices.
Expertise in unit component and integration testing including TDD techniques.
Strong agile delivery leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead engineering teams.

Azure Cloud including:
App Services
Azure Functions
Azure DevOps
API design and system integration in complex enterprise environments.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in the banking or financial services domain.
Exposure to large-scale enterprise transformation or regulated environments.
