EPE is looking to recruit a Principal Engineer with a background in EMT studies and model benchmarking mainly focused on Large Load modelling to join our growing Energy Resources this role you will work closely with senior leadership to support our growth strategy and provide subject matter expertise both internally through coaching and developing staff as well as externally to our clients.
Howyou can make an impact:
Perform EMT studies as well as model benchmarking studies in accordance with IEEE ISO and Utility guidelines.
Serve as a subject matter expert on EMT/RMS model benchmarking as it relates to Large Load and generator interconnection studies.
Lead and perform advanced largeload power system modeling and dynamic impact studies to assess system performance and interconnection requirements.
Serve as subject matter expert on modelling issues and model tuning specifically for EMT models.
Passionate about solving difficult technical problems providing innovative solutions and taking ownership of the solutions provided.
Identify optimal strategy for project interconnection to the grid based on system impacts and grid capacity.
Collaborate with other teams within EPE to provide strategic guidance on market trends and modelling changes across multiple ISOs in North America
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including clients industry organizations and regulatory agencies.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies market innovations and best practices in the energy industry to enhance the organizations offerings and capabilities.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.
