Job Summary

I. JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant will support the daily administrative functions of the HR department assist in recruiting efforts maintain employee records and help ensure a positive workplace culture. The HR Assistant will have strong communication skills a keen eye for detail and a passion for supporting the well-being of employees.
II. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assist in the recruitment processby posting job openings screening resumes and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain employee recordsincluding updating personal information and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and new hires feel welcomed.
  • Maintain and track agency trainings for all employees.
  • Support the HR team in other administrative duties and special projects as needed.
  • Assist with department projects quality improvement and other activities as assigned.
III. BASIC COMPETENCIES

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in HR or administrative roles is a plus.
  • Must meet the States Moral Character standard.
Skills and Abilities Needed:
  • Action oriented.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with agency staff and volunteers and government officials.
  • Demonstrate integrity.
  • Manage time and multiple priorities; meet deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees other agencies and the public.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Be collaborative and flexible with a strong service mentality.
