Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized dependable and personable Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our shul. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented self-motivated and comfortable managing a wide range of administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced community-centered environment. This role requires strong communication skills discretion and the ability to collaborate effectively with clergy staff lay leadership and congregants. Both full-time and part-time candidates are eligible for company-paid benefits.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Registration maintenance: Edit forms and manage data collection.

  • Maintain and update the web calendar and organize communication information.

  • Book and manage logistics using the Resource Scheduler.

  • Coordinate and book occasional travel as needed.

  • Manage program communications with congregants vendors and professionals.

  • Provide Zoom support including managing the waiting room and highlighting speakers.

  • Maintain receipts and invoices for tracking and submission to the Accounts Payable department.

  • Compile data and prepare reports as requested.

  • Demonstrate flexibility with working hours for special event setup staffing and attendance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of two (2) year of administrative or office-related experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including colleagues Beth Tfiloh leadership lay leadership and members of the school shul and camp communities
