St Vincents Lismore are hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Ward. The role involves providing safe and effective nursing care to surgical patients with a focus on assessment monitoring and postoperative management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care to surgical patients including assessment planning and evaluation of care.
- Educate patients families and staff on treatment protocols and postoperative requirements.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and the multidisciplinary team to support safe patient flow and handovers.
- Participate in all patient safety processes including risk mitigation incident reporting and adherence to clinical standards.
- Work in accordance with NMBA Registered Nurse Standards for Practice relevant legislation and organisational policies.
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in surgical or acute care nursing (preferred).
- Able to work effectively in a fastpaced ward environment.
- Strong communication and clinical decisionmaking skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts as required.
