The school is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education for the following position to be based at Bellerive.

About the Role:

The Utility Officer undertakes general and routine grounds and/or maintenance work to ensure a clean orderly safe and instructionally supportive physical school environment that enables enhanced student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain gardens and grounds including mowing and brush cutting.
Mark lines on school ovals/grounds for sporting events.
Set up furniture and equipment for sporting and special events at the School.
Prioritise and complete allocated work plan in accordance with school requirements.
Maintain hand and power tools and equipment to ensure they are safe.
Complete daily security routines (unlocking and locking buildings) and safety inspections of school grounds and equipment.

To be eligible applicants require:

Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania)
Accreditation A: Accreditation to work in a Catholic school or willingness to work towards
Current and satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check (NPCHC)
Certificate 1 in relevant field or equivalent
Current Tasmanian driver licence.
Hold or willing to obtain Medium Rigid Bus Licence
