Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced critical care environment. This role is ideal for an experienced critical care nurse who thrives in high-acuity settings and demonstrates strong clinical judgment professionalism and a patient-centered approach. The ICU RN will deliver safe evidence-based care to pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established clinical protocols
* Continuously assess patient conditions interpret clinical data and respond appropriately to rapidly changing situations
* Administer medications manage life-sustaining equipment and monitor complex patient conditions
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
* Demonstrate strict adherence to patient confidentiality and regulatory standards
* Support a collaborative team environment through effective communication and professional role modeling
* Provide age-appropriate care based on principles of growth and development across the lifespan
* Promote patient safety dignity respect and overall well-being

Required Qualifications

Licensure
* Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license

Certifications (Required)
* BLS
* ACLS
* PALS
* NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
* Certifications must be obtained through AHA or RQI
* Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
* CPI certification within 90 days of hire

Core Competencies
* Strong critical thinking prioritization and time management skills
* Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-acuity environment
* Demonstrated professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
* Computer literacy required

Preferred Qualifications

* Emergency Nursing or Critical Care specialty certification within 2 years of hire
* TNCC within 2 years of hire
* Experience with Microsoft Office applications
* Experience using electronic medical record systems
