Job Summary:
Provides mid-level Human Resources support including benefits counseling processing HR actions andassistingwith new hire orientation and separation processing. Responds to HR inquiries and helpsmaintainHR records and systems. May serve as Telework/Remote Work Coordinator or Wellness Program Administrator.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide benefits counseling to employees
- Process HR actions (e.g. FEGLI FEHB administration)
- Assist with new hire orientation and separation processing
- Respond to HR inquiries from employees and management
- Maintain HR records and systems
- May serve as Telework/Remote Work Coordinator
- May serve as Wellness Program Administrator
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management Business Administration or a related field 3 years relevant HR experience
- Equivalency:Associates Degree 5 years relevant HR experience; OR 7 years relevant HR experience
- Relevant professional HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP HRCI-PHR) is preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal HR policies and benefits programs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interpret and apply HR regulations
- Proficient in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite
