Job Title: Enrollment Counselor-Automotive Technology
Reporting Relationship: Associate Vice President of Enrollment
Unit: National & Global
Department: SEP Strategic Enrollment & Partnerships
Campus Location:Online/Remote (Note: Must live in or around the Indianapolis IN area or willing to commute to this area for recruitment activity.)
Summary of Position: This position manages the recruiting and enrollment in the vocational apprenticeship program in automotive technology with IWU a collaboration with visionary automotive dealerships across Indiana that commit to supporting this program. Specifically the role manages the recruitment and enrollment caseload of students to identify recruit and successfully enroll them in the Universitys Associate of Science in Automotive Technology program. The goal is accomplished by building relationships with the student and their family sharing opportunities available to the student at IWU and encouraging them to take the following steps. Engagement varies by season but typically includes travel.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Market Awareness
- In concert with the current priorities identifies prospective students within the assigned region
- Strategically engages in awareness events (e.g. college fairs site visits and industry focused associations etc.)
- Production
- Meet or exceed enrollment goals through sustained effort
- Meet or exceed lead goals and visits within the auto mechanics industry
- Plan and execute travel around designated college fairs that include relevant high schools and technical programs
- Engagement and Communication
- Initiate frequent and meaningful communication( phone text social media notes email etc) with students and parents at all steps of the recruitment process
- Engage in meaningful communication with key influencers of students including parents and guidance personnel to assist in recruiting
- Recruitment Strategies
- Develops a custom recruitment strategy that will effectively communicate IWU programs and deliverables
- Carries out recruitment activities with partner organizations by working with internal influencers and decision makers
- Presentations & Events
- Creates customized presentations and recruitment materials for influencers decision makers automotive dealerships and prospective students
- Plans and conducts onsite and virtual presentations and information meetings
- Registers for attends and maintains exhibit space at fairs and conferences as applicable
- Serves as an IWU representative to organizations and events as requested from time to time
- Internal Partners
- Build strong relationships with enrollment leaders counselors and support staff to promote enrollment aims
- Collaborates with academic leaders to design and execute outreach strategies
- Data Management
- Maintains records on recruitment and account activity through the N&G CRM
- Tracks lead and contact data to support reporting trend analysis and relationship management
- Develops and tracks weekly monthly and annual benchmarks supporting development goals
- Maintains an accurate accounting of all students in the various tracking systems
- Perform other tasks as assigned

Education - Minimum of a bachelors degree required
- Masters preferred
Experience - Minimum of two (2) years of experience in sales marketing college recruitment and/or public relations
- Experience in admissions sales or management is strongly preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in automotive technologies. Hands-on experience in automobile
mechanics is a plus
Required Skills - Relates well to working high school students
- Self-initiating self-managed intrinsically motivated innovative creative and persevering
- Excellent organization ability superior interpersonal skills detail oriented and the ability to multi-task
- Enjoys working with diverse audiences and values multicultural awareness
- Ability to articulate his/her Christian faith
- Excellent driving record
- Working experience in Office 365 and Salesforce
- Superior communication skills (spoken written group and individual.)
