Group & Holding Company Finance Operations
- Retain direct responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of Ignition Telecoms Investments (the Group holding company).
- Ensure accurate accounting reporting compliance and financial control at holding company level.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex accounting reporting and governance matters.
Group Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Lead the centralised production of monthly quarterly and annual group financial accounts across all company entities.
- Ensure consistent application of IFRS accounting policies and reporting standards across the group.
- Oversee group consolidation intercompany accounting eliminations and reconciliations.
- Deliver high-quality decision-ready financial packs to the CFO and Exco enabling downstream analysis and insight.
- Own and lead the group audit strategy and execution coordinating audits across all entities and managing relationships with external auditors.
Budgeting Forecasting & Group Performance Oversight
- Lead the group-wide budgeting and forecasting process ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Coordinate inputs from divisional CFOs and ensure consistency accuracy and accountability.
- Monitor and report on group-wide financial performance including variance analysis trend identification and risk areas.
- Track and report on deadline adherence reporting quality and governance compliance across all entities.
Divisional CFO Coordination & Governance
- Act as the group-level coordinator and governance lead for divisional CFOs operating in a portfolio oversight capacity.
- Hold divisional finance teams accountable for compliance with group financial policies controls timelines and standards.
- Drive consistency in financial governance reporting disciplines and control frameworks across the group.
- Escalate risks non-compliance and performance concerns to the CFO and Exco as appropriate.
Centralised Group Finance Services
- Lead and manage centralised group finance services including:
- Central Treasury and cash management
- Central Accounts Payable
- Central Tax function
- IFRS leadership and technical accounting
- Design implement and continuously improve shared service models to enhance efficiency control and scalability.
- Oversee group-wide cash flow planning liquidity management and working capital optimisation
Tax Strategy & IFRS Leadership
- Lead the transition of the group tax function from outsourced to in-house building internal capability and governance.
- Develop and implement a group-wide tax planning and compliance strategy ensuring legislative compliance and optimisation.
- Provide technical leadership on IFRS interpretation application and policy development across the group.
- Act as the key liaison with tax authorities advisors and auditors on technical matters.
Governance Risk & Internal Controls
- Establish and enforce group-wide financial governance frameworks controls and policies.
- Monitor compliance with statutory regulatory and internal governance requirements across all entities.
- Identify assess and mitigate financial and compliance risks at a group level.
- Ensure audit findings control weaknesses and governance issues are addressed and remediated.
Decision Support & Strategic Enablement
- Provide tactical and strategic financial decision support to the CFO Exco and senior leadership.
- Support business decisions through robust financial analysis scenario modelling and performance insights.
- Partner with leadership to evaluate investments growth initiatives and risk trade-offs.
B-BBEE Oversight
- Lead the planning implementation and finalisation of the Group B-BBEE strategy.
- Ensure accurate reporting audit readiness and continuous improvement of the Groups BEE scorecard.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on BEE objectives.
Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead and develop the group finance function fostering a culture of accountability excellence and continuous improvement.
- Build strong finance leadership capability across the group including mentoring divisional CFOs where required.
- Drive process standardisation automation and efficiency across finance operations.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CA(SA) CIMA ACCA or equivalent professional qualification required.
- Minimum of 10 15 years experience in a senior finance role ideally within a group-level or multi-entity exposure.
- Proven experience managing centralised finance functions and shared services.
- Strong technical expertise in IFRS tax consolidation and financial governance.
- Demonstrated ability to operate at Exco level influencing and coordinating senior finance leaders.
- Experience leading group audits budget cycles and finance transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical mindset attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
