You A digitally-minded accountant with experience in large datasets analytics tools and end-to-end finance processes ready to help build a smarter more automated Finance function.
Role Accountant to handle core accounting responsibilities while influencing how Vend designs automates and continuously improves its finance processes.

WHO ARE YOU

• Experience from audit or accounting in complex settings.
• Demonstrated experience working with large datasets using analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI Tableau SQL Python)
• Process-oriented with experience across Order to Cash (OTC) Purchase to Pay (PTP) and/or Record to Report (RTR).
• Experience with process automation tools workflow optimisation and/or AI-driven finance solutions.
• Change-oriented with the ability to break down silos challenge legacy ways of working and help teams move toward more effective end-to-end finance processes through trust influence and collaboration.
• Collaborative and communicative able to translate insights into practical improvements with full fluency in English.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 is an advantage.
• As a person youre independently driven and highly collaborative. Youre curious about new technologies and able to translate analytical insights into actionable improvements for Finance Operations.

WHATS THE JOB LIKE
As our new Accountant your mission is to help transform Vends Finance Operations into a simple effective and high-quality provider of accounting insights supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

What youll work on day-to-day:

• Act as a point of contact for legal entity accounting VAT tax and statutory reporting
• Handle core accounting activities such as:
  • Allocating payments and cash receipts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • VAT handling and ad-hoc accounting queries
  • Error handling of automated accounting processes
• Collaborate across OTC PTP and RTR to support end-to-end process improvements
• Drive the implementation and evaluation of AI-enabled solutions (automated reconciliations anomaly detection workflow automation)
• Help establish and monitor KPIs aligned with Vends and Financial Reportings goals
• Execute and report on the design and effectiveness of internal controls for one or more legal entities
