Job Summary

The discipline of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematical Computing and Information Sciences (MCIS) needs adjunct instructors for general education courses (MS100 MS110 MS112 MS113 MS204). We offer a Bachelor of Science in mathematics with three concentration options. We also offer service courses and prerequisites for other programs across campus. We are seeking applicants to provide in-person instruction. Teaching experience is desired.

Department Information

The Department of Mathematical Computing and Computer Information Systems (MCIS) is one of the most diverse and dynamic of all the departments at Jacksonville State University. We offer Bachelor of Science degrees and minors in Mathematics Computer Science and Computer Information Systems and Master of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Systems and Software Design.

We have a long tradition of excellence in teaching dedication to our students and a solid background in state-of-the-art research. Students wishing to study in MCIS can be assured that they will receive a broad-based quality education that will serve them well throughout their careers.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in an appropriate field and at least 18 hours credit in graduate mathematics courses
  • Experience with in-person hybrid and/or online instruction.
