Primary Purpose
Adjunct Faculty members for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies deliver curriculum content for the MPAS degree on an as need basis.
Essential Job Functions
- Deliver curriculum content for courses within the Physician Assistant curriculum including but not limited to: Lectures small group facilitation hands-on skills workshops panel presentations.
- Participate in scoring assessment-related activities including but not limited to: Clinical skills in a simulated scenario. Course-related assignments.
- Mentor students in a variety of skills including but not limited to: Research projects. Remediation of knowledge or clinical skills.
- Other duties as assigned supporting the mission of the program and the university.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Current expertise in one or more curriculum content areas of the MPAS degree.
Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced and/or clinical degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in delivering curriculum content to health professions students.
- Recent clinical experience.
- Experience with teaching methods beyond traditional lecture methods (examples team-based learning facilitation flipped classroom cased based simulation).
