JROTC Senior Army Instructor (SAI)
Senior Army Instructor for the Leavenworth High School JROTC program responsible for the daily operations management curriculum training education and well-being of 300-plus high school cadets. SAI duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversight of all aspects of the oldest JROTC in the nation
- Direct supervision of three retired Noncommissioned Officers
- Selection development and oversight of the cadet battalion staff
- Planning and execution of numerous major events and brigade inspections
- Advise and mentor multiple co-curricular teams before and after school including interstate travel
- Ensure the program is an integrated part of Leavenworth High School
- Manage the JROTC budget
- Meet all department head requirements
- Assist in the development and execution of school policies
- Interface with community leaders and parents
- Frequent before school after school and weekend duties should be expected
- Applicants are expected to be in (and maintain) good physical condition and must meet height/weight standards
Applicants must satisfy all Cadet Command JROTC instructor pre-hire requirements ( ) prior to interview as well as all USD 453 qualification requirements for JROTC instructors. Instructors must be able to pass a CNACI background check prior to being hired ( ).
