Job Summary
A school-based education program is seeking a School Social Worker to provide comprehensive student support services. This role focuses on addressing students social emotional behavioral and academic needs through collaboration with school staff families and community resources. The ideal candidate will support student well-being and success in a structured educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and group counseling services to students
Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments
Collaborate with teachers administrators and support staff to develop and implement intervention strategies
Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate
Support students experiencing social emotional family or behavioral challenges
Serve as a liaison between the school families and community resources
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school state and regulatory requirements
Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate intervention and support
Adhere to all school policies confidentiality standards and professional guidelines
Required Qualifications
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement (required)
Masters degree in Social Work or a related field
Experience working in a school-based setting (preferred)
Strong communication collaboration and documentation skills
Work Environment
School-based setting
Collaborative student-focused environment
Requires the ability to manage a caseload and work independently
