Our Criminal Court Services Department is searching for a dedicated and dynamic Courtroom Clerk - a role where no two days look the same!
As a Courtroom Administrator in Criminal you will receive in depth training on processing different court proceedings that take place in Criminal Court handle evidence that comes in all shapes and sizes administer oaths to witnesses and jurors as well as sit next to the Judge on the Criminal Court you will be exposed to sensitive material that may include autopsy & crime scene photos testimony of victims narcotics and weapons.
What is a courtroom clerk A courtroom clerk plays an integral part of our courtroom team by accurately preparing the official record of the hearings events in a fast-paced environment. They work closely with judges hearing officers bailiffs defense attorneys prosecuting attorneys interpreters and other criminal justice partners.
** PAY PROGRESSION ELIGIBLE! **
This position is eligible to receive a 5% increase to the hourly rate which has already been added to the salary advertised. This 5% increase is awarded upon completion of the introductory period. The Criminal Courtroom Administrator position participates in a pay progression program that allows pay increases in phases for employees who are cross trained in all areas of Criminal Courts at the main Judicial Center (WPB). This position can earn up to an additional 10% increase to the hourly rate upon completion of cross-training.

Associates degree supplemented by three (3) years of recent and relevant experience lieu of an Associates degree two (2) years of direct work experience and one (1) year of supplemental work experience is required. Must demonstrate the ability to accurately apply acute attention to detail in maintenance of detailed data preferably in an automated systems environment. Once qualified deputization may be required to perform the assigned functions.
