Role Title:Associate Director/Director Institutional Sales Asia

Role location: Singapore Based

How will I help

As the Associate Director/Director Institutional Sales Asia you will be responsible to develop and maintain mutually beneficial long term relationships within our targeted Institutional Credit client base. The contemplated client base will be Asia excluding Japan covering Central Banks Bank Balance Sheets Private Banks Fund Managers and Hedge Funds Cross Sell these customers into FX Rates and Interest Rate Risk Management.

You will also:

  • Effectively execute upon the regional and global strategic sales plan
  • Maintain and develop the existing portfolio of client
  • Identify and convert key targeted clients within the designated target region (South East Asia)
  • Increase the distribution of Westpacs defined product to set the client base
  • Work seamlessly within a globally coordinated sales team
  • Work with the global Trading and Research teams to help provide a seamless customer experience
  • Identify and drive cross product sales initiatives where possible
  • Promote and arrange one on one meetings between clients and product specialists (including trading research and economics and senior officers of the bank)
  • Maintain and adhere to the Westpac Code of Conduct and Dealing Room Policy and Procedures
  • Provide support to the Rates and sales DCM & FX business

The Associate Director/Director Institutional Sales Asia will be critical in revenue generation increasing product penetration to existing customers as well as the acquisition of new customers growing the combined YoY Sales and Trading revenue of the business from both a regional and a geographic perspective and achieving both regional and global revenue budgets (both revenue and costs).

What do I need

  • Rates and/or Credit market customer facing experience 5yrs within Institutional Sales (Associate Director level of experience)
  • Strong Knowledge of Financial Markets in Bonds with a strong preference for AUD/USD credit bonds
  • An understanding of performance based roles
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships internally and externally
  • An understanding of sales and marketing concepts
  • An ability to interact with staff at major investment firms banks Central Banks and hedge funds
  • Mandarin language is essential other Asian language fluency is preferred to interact with clients
