The Opportunity

Join our Financial Services team as a Senior Engineer where youll be a hands-on technologist with deep understanding of third-party libraries leading the modernization of existing code to fit cloud-native architectures. Youll collaborate closely with enterprise application and technical architects while mentoring a dynamic team to deliver innovative solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of features projects modules and services that you and your team deliver in all phases of the software development lifecycle

Design and implement end-to-end solutions towards new product experiences using various technologies

Participate in technical discussions and contribute to overall technical direction advocating for best practices and innovative solutions

Optimize software performance identifying and resolving bottlenecks via monitoring logging and metrics to enhance the user experience

Act as a strong advocate for clean and scalable principles and practices in all areas including coding documentation automation etc.

Be a champion of high-performing secure and reliable software services

Identify critical non-functional requirements for the work your team prioritizes (Availability Security Performance Scalability and Observability) and implement them with your team

Actively contribute improvements to our automated test strategies to enable speedy and reliable continuous integration

Continuously improve build and deploy processes

Collaborate with other development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of client-side applications automating and enhancing build test and deployment processes

Communicate frequently with your team to ensure shared understanding around the new products and features under consideration

Conduct formal and informal code reviews providing constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and adherence to clean and scalable coding principles

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards tools and technologies related to client-side development observability and DevOps practices and drive their adoption within the team

Collaborate frequently with other developers and teams to design and implement cutting-edge reliable solutions

Understand and apply our technical architecture to ensure consistent reliable and secure deployments

Enhance and maintain existing product capabilities as required

Bring fresh ideas for continuously improving our software and your team

Advocate for ways to avoid and remediate technical debt continuously

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change step up and show whats next people with passion can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and practice this means:

5 years of professional experience in software development with a strong emphasis on backend development in Java

High proficiency and strong skills in Cloud Technologies object-oriented programming and familiarity with AWS MySQL and Oracle DB and hands-on Java experience

Solid understanding of the possibilities and limitations of building robust backend applications

Experience in building high-scale high-throughput low-latency systems

Experience in building SDKs Developer experience APIs and Client libraries

Experience in writing high-quality code and automated tests to back up your code

Experience with Gen AI tools integration in software development lifecycle and comprehensive test automation (unit component integration end-to-end performance security and code scanning)

Strong problem-solving skills possessing the ability to work independently or collaboratively to analyze and address complex technical challenges

Experience with modern software development practices version control systems and agile methodologies

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Strong attention to detail as well as a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions
