Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise crews and subcontractors during underground construction projects.
Coordinate daily activities including planning hole paths and managing equipment logistics.
Operate or oversee operations including mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Conduct pre-shift inspections and safety meetings; ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
Monitor performance adjust parameters as needed and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Maintain accurate records of progress materials used and crew activity.
Communicate regularly with project managers engineers and other trades to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Ensure proper handling storage and disposal of materials.
Assist with training and mentoring personnel.
Enforce company policies OSHA/MSHA regulations and site-specific rules.

Qualifications:

FL State CDL-A License
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification a plus.
5 years of experience in underground construction with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
Strong knowledge of underground construction methods.
Experience with underground utility installation tunneling or mining preferred.
Proven leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings blueprints and specifications.
Working knowledge of job safety analysis (JSA) hazard assessments and related safety documentation.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions including confined spaces and varying weather.

Working Conditions:

Majority of work is performed on active construction sites.
May involve long hours night shifts and weekend work depending on project demands.
Must be able to work in underground environments including confined or low-light areas.

Licenses/Certifications (Preferred or Required):

OSHA 30 or MSHA Certification
Valid Drivers License (CDL may be preferred depending on equipment use)
First Aid/CPR
