Job Title: Foreman Reports to: Project ManagerDirect Reports: ApprenticesJob Summary:
The Foreman is responsible for supervising apprentices ensuring the safe timely and code-compliant completion of projects. As the primary on-site contact the Foreman manages day-to-day operations addresses customer inquiries and coordinates closely with the Project Manager. This role also involves overseeing material needs maintaining site cleanliness and ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.Key Responsibilities:- Lead and supervise helpers/apprentices to ensure efficient workflow and task completion.
- Ensure all work is performed safely meets code compliance and is completed on schedule.
- Act as the on-site liaison between the Project Manager and customers handling inquiries and resolving issues.
- Coordinate material needs with the Warehouse Director and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work site.
- Follow all company policies especially regarding vehicle use and job site conduct.
- Interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
Minimum Requirements:- 2 years of relevant experience in electrical work or a related field.
- Valid Journeyman Electricians License (preferred).
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to be insured under company vehicle insurance policy.
- Physical capability to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Strong verbal communication and leadership skills.
Physical Demands:- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance.
- Prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces.
- Frequent ladder use and work at heights.
- Regular bending kneeling and working in confined spaces.
- Frequent use of hands for tools and precision work.
- Good vision and hearing required; use of PPE including safety glasses and hearing protection is mandatory.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
Safety Requirements:- Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
- Report hazards and follow safe work practices.
Work Environment:Indoors and outdoors in various settings exposed to extreme weather confined spaces and high elevations.- Protective equipment is required in noisy dusty or hazardous environments.
- Work may involve tight spaces and handling heavy tools.
- Overtime weekend and emergency work may be required.
