DescriptionWe are recruiting a Sourcing Analyst to join our Procurement team in Pittsburgh PA. Reporting into the Commodity Management team.
You will be responsible for executing commodity strategies to improve cost productivity quality and innovation capabilities within the global supply part of this you will analyze and manage the companysglobal commodity spend assess market conditions identify opportunities to create value for the company and align business needs for quality cost delivery and growth.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Develop and sustain high-efficiency high-quality domestic and/or global sources of supply for materials and services.
- Execute commodity strategies and provide detailed reports analysis and sourcing or business-related presentations to staff and management.
- Assist in managing the global supply base through development of supplier scorecards and quarterly business reviews.
- Source wide range of materials and suppliers to strengthen the global supply base and support commodity strategies.
- Develop RFQs to competitively bid evaluate and select potential suppliers.
- Manage commodity spend using procurement processes & systems. Focus on price quality delivery innovation supply chain efficiency & working capital.
- Negotiate implement and manage supplier contracts.
- Use data analytics industry benchmarking and strategic sourcing methodologies to build a robust pipeline of PPV/VAVE cost savings initiatives.
- Stay current on new processes techniques and supplier capabilities using continuous improvement tools.
- Lead low to moderate projects with cross-functional team including suppliers to successfully implement a commodity strategy cost savings initiative or transition a source of supply.
- Collaborate with Fortive Category Managers to ensure best practices and greatest leverage in procurement low-cost region sourcing supplier assessment & management.
- Execute outsourcing and dual-sourcing initiatives within commodity space.
- Must be able to travel up to 10-20% to find develop and manage domestic and/or global sources of supply.
Organizational Alignment
- This role reports directly to the Commodity Manager team and works very closely with Supply Chain Supplier Quality & Engineering teams Regional Service Centers and Asia Pacific Operations.

Technical Competencies
- Working knowledge proficiency and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.

- Experience with Oracle EBS a plus.
Experience
- 3+ years experience in a global operation and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in Procurement Strategic Sourcing and Data Analytics within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of finance and accounting characteristics of supply chain.
Education
- University Degree (Bachelors Degree or equivalent) in Engineering Supply Chain Management Business Administration Commerce Economics or related field.
- ASCM or APICS certification as CSCP CPIM CLTD a plus.
- ISM certification as CPSM a plus.
